Q; How do I make sure that I select the right sizing price for laser engraving on a slide?
A; using a tape measure or ruler, measure the approximate size of the mark on the slide, a measurement of 2.75″ would round up to 3″ where a measurement of 2.74″ would round down to 2.5″. So be sure that if you have specific lines in mind for the engraving that they fall within standardly accepted rounding principles.
Q; How would I price something Like the Dragon Sig? (pictured)
A; Each of the serrations, lightening cuts and the eyes are different marks, which is why they look clean and the edges of the engraving doesn’t run over and blend down the serrations, you can see separate and distinct serrations. The Dragon sig is in the neighborhood of 16 setups per side. For more specific or complicated laser projects like this one, please reach out to us, we will give you a custom quote. Q; What kind of Art can be lasered onto my gun?
Our Laser is a 50 Watt MOPA Fiber Laser, Because the Laser is vaporizing metal it basically has two settings on, or off, so the art that translates to the laser best is 2-3 colors, sometimes blending and shading does not translate well into a deep laser engraving.
